Boiler quick fix & money saving tips
Make sure your system pressure is at 1 bar. If it is below 1 bar it will need topping up. This we can usually assist over a phone call. Once up and running we can investigate the pressure loss and diagnose the fault.
If it is freezing outside you may have a frozen condensate pipe (usually a small white plastic pipe), it can be thawed by applying heat and will get your boiler back on until we can address the issue.
If your boiler is running with heating and hot water off then you may have pre-heat switched on. Switching off or selecting Eco will save you money.
It is a good idea to run your heating system for a few minutes in the summer months to avoid pumps and valves seizing up.
Thermostatic valves can be reduced in unoccupied rooms and upstairs as the heat from downstairs will naturally rise throughout the home.
